When choosing the structure of the marine motor, it should be determined according to the surrounding environment of the production machinery. There are four types of marine motors: open, protected, enclosed and explosion-proof.
Open-type marine motors have large ventilation holes on both sides of the stator and end caps. This motor is cheap and has good cooling conditions. However, there is no special protection device in the motor structure, and it is easy to enter dust, water droplets, iron filings, etc., so it can only be used in a clean and dry environment.
When the guarded marine motor is located under the housing or end cover, it is equipped with a ventilation hood which provides good heat dissipation. In some cases, the casing is made into a roof to prevent water droplets, iron filings, etc. from falling into the motor at an angle, but it cannot prevent the intrusion of dust and moisture. Therefore, such motors are usually used in relatively dry, dust-free, clean environments.
There are three types of enclosed marine motors: self-fan cooling, other fan cooling and off. The first two types of front motors have no ventilation holes on the bottom cover and end cover, and outside air cannot enter the inside of the motor, so they can be used in harsh environments with humidity, corrosive gas, dust and corrosion. eroded by wind and rain. Enclosed motor, external gas, liquid can not enter the internal motor, generally used for liquid working machinery, such as submersible pump motor.
The body of the marine motor is tightly sealed, and it is used in places with explosive gas such as oil depots, gas stations, gas stations, and mines.
